Plot: A Quest for Family

The story follows Dory, who has spent her life with short-term memory loss, as she embarks on a journey to reunite with her long-lost parents. After a year of living with Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) in the reef, Dory suddenly remembers where her parents live—Morro Bay, California. With Marlin and Nemo by her side, she sets out on a daring adventure to find them.

As they travel across the ocean, Dory is accidentally captured by the Marine Life Institute, where she meets new characters like Hank (Ed O’Neill), a grumpy but well-meaning octopus, and reconnects with old friends, Destiny (Kaitlin Olson), a whale shark, and Bailey (Ty Burrell), a beluga whale. Dory’s search for her parents leads her to discover that they had been leaving a trail of shells to guide her back home. In the end, she is joyfully reunited with her parents, and together, they return to the reef.
